FAQ

CoinChanger is the cryptocurrency exchange service that provides the ability to instantly exchange or purchase over 120 altcoins at the best market rate.

We offer cryptocurrency exchange through the intuitive interface in only 3 steps. No personal data needed. No hidden fees. No limits.

How does the service work?
Our service is integrated into more than 15 cryptocurrency trading platforms. There are also over 100 private partners cooperating with us. At the moment of exchange our service chooses the best market rate for you.

Why should you trust us?
CoinChanger is the experienced blockchain developers’ team. Our service do not request to reveal personal data to avoid any possible risks while dealing with cryptocurrencies. We use the most reliable trading platforms and offer the best exchange rate.

How long does it take to make an exchange?
The exchange processing time vary between 10 and 30 minutes depending on how fast a new block appears in the network. The majority of transactions are processed in a matter of minutes. If the amount of currency for exchange is big (over 1 BTC), the processing time will take a bit longer depending on the block size and the amount of currency.

What are service fees?
Only 0.5% commission for each transaction with the best market rate to the end of an exchange process =)

Where can I store my cryptocurrency?
If you want to use cryptocurrency, you need to keep it secure. Different wallets are used for different transaction operations. There are official wallets, web wallets and other clients. You will need a separate wallet for each currency. A wallet address is a unique combination of digits and letters from 20 to 35 symbols. Usually it looks like this: 17bkZPLB4Wn6F347PLZBR34ijhzQDUFZ4ZC.

How do I get a wallet address?
When you decide what coin you want to purchase, store or use, seek for a suitable wallet. Each cryptocurrency has its official wallet client. Once you create a suitable cryptocurrency wallet, you will automatically receive its unique address and a private key. NEVER show anyone your private key including our service. Even if we keep asking for it =)

What is a recipient’s address?
If you want to purchase cryptocurrency, you need to send it to a suitable wallet. A recipient’s address is the address of your wallet that will receive currency once a transaction is complete.

What is a transaction hash?
Any transaction is recorded into a blockchain and has a unique ID called a hash (sometimes “TH”). This ID helps to check a transaction in an open blockchain.

How do I cancel my transaction?
Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Once money is sent, it cannot be rolled back. Be sure to double check all payment details carefully before sending cryptocurrency.

Why is my final amount different?
All transactions take time to be processed. Due to high volatility of cryptocurrencies the processing time is critical, but the final exchange rate may turn out to be higher or lower than initially expected. The declared rate is the best at the moment of exchange.

What if my exchange will takes more than 30 minutes?
As a rule our cryptocurrency exchange transactions are processed within 30 minutes. If your transaction takes longer, this could be due to several factors: 1)DDoS attacks. Unfortunately this may happen from time to time, but we are always ready to help you with any problems. 2)Coin updates. We can update a client and turn off some coins. As soon as we turn it back on you will get your money. 3)Blockchain is overloaded. There are too many transactions waiting to go through. Your transaction can also in the line. Sometimes you will need to wait.

What is a minimum amount for exchange?
CoinChanger does not have any exchange limits, but there is a necessary minimum commission limit for each transaction. An exchange amount should be sufficient to cover all trading platforms’ fees. We cover all transaction expenses through our 0.5% commission for each money transfer.

Is your service absolutely anonymous?
You do not need any registration or ID number to verificate your transactions. CoinChanger never requests for any personal data except for a recipient’s address to complete a transaction.

There are few exceptions though.
CoinChanger uses the automated risk management system to check all transactions. Each transaction is individually controlled. According to European AML guidelines, KYC and the service requirements we may ask you to provide your personal identification document valid in your country or other information about the origin of your finances.
